SOL DU Distance Education Admission 2025: SOL DU is a state-run institution established in 1962 as a part of the mainstream Delhi University. It was being introduced to offer distance-oriented programs in humanities, social science, and commerce.

Applicants can pursue UG and PG degree courses like BA Hons English, BA Program, MA Political Science, MA Hindi, and more. Admission to DU SOL courses is made to candidates who have managed to pass the academic qualifications for the desired degree. However, the use of entrance exams can also be seen at the PG level. School of Open Learning, University of Delhi Course Admissions Process

SOL DU admission begins every year in September-October and runs till the last week of November. To take DU SOL admission to UG and PG courses, one shall require to follow the instructions mentioned below.

• Visit SOL DU’s official website.
• Enter the online admission registration page.
• Fill up the relevant and mandatory information.
• Upload legible and clear academic and personal documents.
• Deposit the SOL DU fee.
• Download fee receipt and identity card.

SOL DU Distance Education Eligibility 

Admission to SOL DU courses can be taken after securing valid eligibility as follows.

BA Hons English

• Candidates must score 65 percent overall with a minimum of 75 percent in the English subject from an approved board of India.
• Candidates who managed to pass 10+2 or equivalent with 65 percent English Elective or functional English and three academic subjects can also apply.

B.Com Hons

• A minimum score must not be less than 55 percent in 10+2 from any stream.
• 60 Percent marks are needed in the vocational stream.

DU distance learning PG Courses

BA Hons Political Science

• 50 Percent marks in the higher secondary exam (12th) with one language and three academic subjects are identical for admission.
• SC/ST aspirants can apply with minimum passing marks.

MA History 

• Candidates can get admission after passing an UG degree with 60 percent or above in BA Hons.
• Entrance test-based admission shall require at least 50 percent of the UG degree.

MA Hindi

• Applicants should possess a minimum bachelor’s degree from SOL DU or any other UGC-approved institute.
• Candidates can apply with just passing marks on the qualifying UG degree exam.

Delhi University Correspondence Courses Fees’

B.Com Hons/B.Com/BA Hons English/BA Hons Pol Science/BA Prog: 

• The yearly fee of various SOL DU programs is INR 4,040.
• PWD category candidates shall need to deposit a Proof fee of INR 65.

MA History/MA Political Science/MA Sanskrit

• A general fee for the respective PG degrees is INR 4,990. Mentioned fee can be paid yearly.
• Reserved or backward categories can deposit INR 4,490.
